In a remarkable display of innovation and excellence, GMA Network, a leading media giant in the Philippines, was honored at the prestigious Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+ Awards 2024 held in Singapore on May 30. The network stood out among broadcasting companies in the Asia-Pacific region, showcasing its commitment to embracing digital advancements in the industry.
GMA Network clinched three awards in different categories, solidifying its position as a trailblazer in the field. The awards included “Series Production – Philippines,” “Technology Animation – Philippines,” and “Set Design Enabling Special Effects – Philippines.”
One of the standout achievements was GMA Integrated News’ flagship newscast “24 Oras” winning the “Series Production – Philippines” award for its impactful series “Banta ng Nagbabagong Klima.” The series delved into the effects of climate change, shedding light on crucial issues while highlighting stories of resilience and innovation in the face of environmental challenges.
Additionally, GMA Network’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Sports Series Project, featuring the country’s first AI presenters Maia and Marco, secured the “Technology Animation – Philippines” award.
