Cows Interrupt Choir’s Spontaneous Performance with Musical Interlude | National News

“Cows Join Choir Performance in Cambridge: A Magical Encounter”

The West Bridgford Social Singers had an unexpected audience during their impromptu choir performance in Mill Pond, Cambridge – a herd of cows! The Red Polls cows seemed mesmerized by the music, with one even nodding along to the songs.

Lori Cunningham captured the magical encounter on video while cycling home, noting how the cows were gazing in one direction towards the choir. The choir members, on a social day trip to Cambridge, were joined by the curious animals for about an hour.

Secretary Lyn Schofield described the cows as being engrossed in the performance, with one even headbutting a choir member who was petting it. The cows seemed to enjoy the music, with one cow even swaying its head in time with the singing.

The community choir, based in Nottingham, has been around for 30 years and often takes social trips to bond outside of practice. The singers were delighted by the unexpected audience and the cows’ apparent appreciation for their music.

The choir sang popular songs like ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri and ‘Shallow’ by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga to the cows, creating a unique and unforgettable experience for both the singers and their bovine spectators.
