Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Faces New Lawsuits Alleging Rape and Sexual Assault
Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing a wave of new accusations as six new accusers have filed lawsuits against the music mogul, alleging rape, sexual abuse, and sexual assault. These lawsuits mark the first accusers out of 120 alleged victims with claims against Combs, according to Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee.
The lawsuits detail alleged incidents dating back to 1995 through 2021, including the sexual assault of a minor and multiple allegations of rape. Some of the assaults are said to have taken place at the infamous parties that Combs was known for throughout his career in the music industry.
The lawsuits name Combs’ various businesses as defendants, with one man accusing Combs of sexually assaulting him in a Macy’s in 2008 and listing the department store as a defendant. One woman who claims Combs raped her in a hotel listed Marriott as a defendant. Combs has denied all allegations brought against him.
These new legal actions come after Combs’ arrest in September on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty and is set to face a criminal trial in May 2025. Despite an avalanche of civil lawsuits filed over the past year alleging sexual and physical abuse, Combs remains in custody at the Special Housing Unit at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.
Combs’ lawyers have called the recent lawsuits “clear attempts to garner publicity” and expressed confidence in their legal defenses. Buzbee, the lawyer representing the accusers, has vowed to pursue the case and expose those who enabled such conduct behind closed doors.
The allegations against Combs range from incidents at parties to assaults in public places like hotels and department stores. The lawsuits paint a disturbing picture of a pattern of abuse and misconduct spanning several decades. Combs has maintained his innocence and continues to deny all allegations against him.
As the legal battle unfolds, more details are expected to emerge, shedding light on the allegations and the evidence supporting them. The case against Combs is set to be a high-profile trial that will capture the attention of the public and the media.
