Trump Rants About Death Penalty and Immigration at Rallies

Former president Donald Trump made headlines once again with his anti-immigration rhetoric at rallies in Reno, Nevada and Aurora, Colorado. Trump called for the death penalty for migrants who kill American citizens and announced his plan to enact the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.

Despite lacking evidence, Trump continued to spread false claims about migrants committing mass violent crimes in the country and occupying cities. In Aurora, a city he claims has been taken over by Venezuelan gangs, Trump proposed his “Operation Aurora” to expedite the removal of these gangs using the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.

Critics, including Republican Mayor Mike Coffman of Aurora, refuted Trump’s claims, stating that the concerns about Venezuelan gang activity in the city have been exaggerated and have unfairly damaged the city’s reputation.

The Brennan Center for Justice warned about the potential abuse and rights violations that could result from implementing the Alien Enemies Act, emphasizing the need for caution in such actions.

Trump’s inflammatory remarks continue to stir controversy and draw attention as the political landscape heats up in the lead-up to the upcoming election.
