Trump-Harris election news: Kamala Harris campaigns in Wisconsin with live updates

Former White House Aide Cassidy Hutchinson Endorses Vice President Kamala Harris

Former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson has made headlines by endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming election. In an interview with MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, Hutchinson expressed her firm decision to never vote for Donald Trump again and her support for Harris and Tim Walz.

Hutchinson, who previously worked as an assistant to then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, gained attention for her testimony before the House select committee investigating the January 6 insurrection at the US Capitol. She also released a book last year detailing the chaotic and lawless atmosphere of the Trump White House.

While Hutchinson admitted to only agreeing with Harris on a few issues, she emphasized the importance of policy and the need for leaders who can uphold the rule of law. She criticized Trump and Sen. JD Vance, stating that they cannot be trusted with the Constitution or responsible policy-making.

In addition to endorsing Harris, Hutchinson revealed her plans to vote for down-ballot Democrats in the upcoming election as a way to move past the Trump era. She joins a growing list of Republicans who have publicly supported Harris, including former Rep. Adam Kinzinger, Jim McCain, son of late Sen. John McCain, former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan, former Vice President Dick Cheney, and former Rep. Liz Cheney.

Later today, Harris is set to campaign with Liz Cheney in Ripon, Wisconsin, the birthplace of the GOP. Hutchinson’s endorsement adds another layer of intrigue to an already heated political landscape as the election approaches.
