Vietnamese golfer Nguyen Anh Minh made history by leading his team to victory at the Asia-Pacific Amateur Team Championship in Hai Phong, Vietnam. Anh Minh also claimed the individual title with an impressive 12-under total of 276, finishing two shots ahead of Australian Declan O’Donovan.
Vietnam’s team, consisting of Anh Minh, Le Khanh Hung, and Ho Anh Huy, secured the top spot with a final-day team score of eight under 136. Their remarkable performance saw them finish three strokes ahead of defending champions Japan.
Anh Minh’s consistent play, with only three bogeys throughout the tournament, solidified Vietnam’s triumph over traditional golfing powerhouses like Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand.
