Trump Allies Urge Supporters to Vote Early in Pennsylvania’s Northwestern Corner
Trump Allies Urge Supporters to Vote Early in Pennsylvania
During a recent campaign bus tour stop in New Castle, Pennsylvania, Trump’s allies made a strong push for his supporters to cast their ballots early. With only a few days left before the early voting deadline, speakers at the event emphasized the importance of getting out to vote as soon as possible.
David Bossie, a Republican National Committeeman and former top official on Trump’s 2016 campaign, called out those in the crowd who had not yet voted. “How many of you have voted already?” he asked, prompting only a few hands to go up. “OK, the rest of you, shame on you! We need to vote and vote early. Get your butts to the polls. Get them out there right now. Before the early voting ends, we must bank votes.”
This messaging marks a significant shift for Republicans compared to the 2020 election, when there were doubts raised about the legitimacy of early voting. Despite some lingering concerns about the security of voting by mail or voting early, Trump and his allies are now urging supporters to take advantage of early voting opportunities.
“We only have so many resources at our disposal during a campaign,” Bossie explained. “We must bank your votes early so we can go chase and find those low-propensity voters that are going to turn out for Donald Trump.”
The deadline to vote early in Pennsylvania is quickly approaching, and the push to get supporters to the polls is intensifying. Registered Democrats currently account for the majority of early ballots submitted, but Republicans are making strides compared to the last election.
“Pennsylvania Republicans do not tend to vote early,” said Carla Sands, Trump’s former ambassador to Denmark. “I’m asking you to change that and save our country.”
With the election just around the corner, Trump’s allies are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to mobilize supporters and secure crucial early votes.
