Meanings of Liberation Day Celebrations on Guam: Insights from Island Residents

The residents of Guam are gearing up for the island’s 80th Liberation Day celebrations, each with their own unique perspective on what the day means to them. From family gatherings to reflecting on the island’s history, Liberation Day holds different meanings for different people.

Keanu Salas from Sinajana sees Liberation Day as a time to relax, spend time with loved ones, and enjoy some good food at a barbecue.
