Cathay Pacific to Introduce Next-Generation Flagship Lounges in Hong Kong

Cathay Pacific’s Lounge Transformation Plan: The Future of Flagship Lounges

Cathay Pacific is set to undergo a major transformation of its lounges at the Hong Kong hub, creating a family of “next generation flagship lounges.” This multi-year, multi-million-dollar project will be carried out in three phases, according to Cathay Pacific’s General Manager for Customer Experience & Design, Vivian Lo.

The renovation will begin with The Wing lounges at the top of Terminal 1, reclaiming their status as Cathay’s flagship lounges. The plan includes a full renovation of The Wing lounges to create a new flagship First lounge, promising an amazing experience for passengers.

One of the key elements of the transformation is the return of The Bridge lounge, which is currently being refreshed with furniture and elements similar to The Pier lounges. The Bridge is expected to reopen around mid-2025, providing additional capacity while The Wing First undergoes renovation.

The Wing First will remain open for the first half of 2025 before closing for its own transformation. The goal is to reshape The Wing along the lines of The Pier, maintaining consistency across all Hong Kong lounges. The Wing Business lounge will follow suit, closing until mid-2027, with The Bridge serving as an interim lounge for passengers.

Cathay Pacific’s commitment to launching three newly-designed flagship lounges over the next three years includes locations in Beijing and New York. The renovation project aims to enhance the overall passenger experience and provide a more modern and luxurious environment for travelers.

Overall, the transformation of Cathay Pacific’s lounges in Hong Kong signifies a significant investment in improving the travel experience for passengers and maintaining the airline’s reputation for premium service.
