Five new restaurants have opened in San Diego

Five San Diego restaurants have recently opened or reopened, bringing a fresh wave of culinary delights to the city. From nostalgic ’90s-style diners to Baja Coastal cuisine-themed eateries, there is something for every palate to enjoy.

XOXO by Breakfast & Bubbles has opened in North Park, taking over the space formerly occupied by Breakfast & Bubbles. The redesigned 3,000-square-foot venue offers a menu filled with classic breakfast dishes, milkshakes, and bottomless mimosas. Soon, a secret menu will be added, and the space will be available for private events.

In the Gaslamp Quarter, Hasta Manana Cantina has made its debut, offering Baja Coastal cuisine and specialty margaritas. The restaurant is owned by industry veterans and promises to be a hotspot for delicious tacos and drinks.

Hideaway Pacific Beach, inspired by San Diego’s beach, skating, and music cultures, has opened its doors in the former Fat Fish Cantina Grill location. The restaurant-bar serves a variety of American and California classics, as well as higher-end dishes like aguachile halibut sashimi and 12-hour braised short rib.

Leave of Absence, the seasonal rooftop restaurant at Kimpton Alma hotel in downtown San Diego, has reopened with a new menu featuring wood-fired pizzas and creative cocktails. The rooftop spot offers stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere for guests to enjoy.

Amaya, the terrace restaurant at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar resort in Carmel Valley, has relaunched with a French brasserie menu. The renovated restaurant offers a range of French-inspired dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a weekend brunch option.

With these new and revamped dining options, San Diego residents and visitors alike have plenty of delicious choices to explore and enjoy.
