Cathay Pacific’s Next-Generation Aria Suites Business Class: A Detailed Look
Cathay Pacific is set to unveil its next-generation Aria Suites business class on the first of 30 Boeing 777 jets this week. The Aria Suites, six years in the making, will be featured on all Cathay 777s by 2027.
Each aircraft will undergo a month-long makeover, emerging from the maintenance hangar with 45 private business class suites, 48 premium economy recliners, and 268 standard economy seats. The upgraded 777s will initially fly on short routes to Beijing and Shanghai before embarking on a premium long-range route to Europe, likely London, in January 2025. As more refurbished planes are rolled out, they will also service popular routes to Australia, New Zealand, North America, and Dubai.
Vivian Lo, the driving force behind Cathay’s suite and seat enhancements, shared that the airline aims to launch daily flights to new destinations. The Aria Suites offer a unique experience, combining elements from other airlines’ business class products with a bespoke design by Cathay Pacific and London’s JPA Design.
The Aria Suite features a subtle and elegant design, with curved lines and soft lighting creating a sense of quiet luxury. The cabin includes smart features like a widescreen TV, individual seat presets for different activities, and a divider between paired middle seats for added privacy.
Overall, the Aria Suites aim to provide passengers with a comfortable and personalized flying experience. With attention to detail and thoughtful design elements, Cathay Pacific’s new business class is set to elevate the in-flight experience for travelers.
